What is Discounted Goods?

Discounted Goods is a timed auction design for individuals, estate sale companies and auctioneers, who are willing to sell or advertise their upcoming sales event.

How do I sell an item or advertise my upcoming sale on Discounted Goods?

In order to sell an item or advertise your upcoming sale on DiscountedGoods.ca, You will need to create an account and creating an account is FREE.

Buying
Do you charge buyer premium?

No, We do not charge buyer pemium if you buy direct from discountedgoods.ca

How do I pay for my item?

You can make payment using eTransfer, paypal, money order or credit card via invoice.

How do I get my item once paid for?

Once the invoice has been paid, we will coordinate the shipping or give you the pickup address.

What are the terms of sales?

All Items are "Sold As Is, Where Is, Untested". There are no returns, refunds or adjustments.

Do you charge Sales Tax?

Yes, We do charge 5% GST.

Do you offer local pickup?

Yes, We offer local pickup.

Where do I pickup my item?

The pickup address will be given to you by the seller.

Do you offer shipping and who pays for it?

Yes, We do offer shipping and the shipping is paid by the buyer unless the seller offer free shipping.

How do I submit an offer?

Use the "Contact Advertiser" button on the listing page to submit an offer.

Why some items has no price posted?

If the item has no price, it mean that the item is listed for sealed bid or the seller is open for best offer, only the highest bidder win the item.

How long does the sealed bid auction run for?

Our sealed bid auction runs for 7 days from the day the item was posted or read the listing description to find out when the winner will be declare and contacted.

How do I know if I won the item I submitted the offer for?

Once you win the item, we will send you the invoice using the email or phone number on the form.

Can I buy an item early before the auction closing day?

If you wish to buy the item early before the auction closing day, just click on the item, then click "Contact Auctioneer" fill out the form including your "offer" in the "feedback / question" field, then click send, once we receive your offer, if the seller accept the offer, we will invoice you once the invoice is paid then we will cordinate the pickup or shipping.

Does Discountedgoods.ca offer Escrow Service?

No, at Discountedgoods.ca we do not offer escrow service, however we have an escrow partner that we all use

How do I sell my item on Discountedgoods.ca?

We have 3 selling options to choose from If you wish to sell on discountedgoods.ca

How do you price my item?

Pricing is determined through collaboration between the consignor and our team. Factors considered include the item's condition, brand, market demand, and original retail price. We strive for fair and competitive pricing to maximize both consignor and buyer satisfaction.

Where my item will be sold?

Your item will be primary sold on our site, social media marketplace, auction sites and other partner sites.

When do I get paid for my item?

You can get paid immediatly if you opt for buy outright or you get paid when your item is sold.

What Category Should I Put My listing In?

How much will it cost me if I decide to list on my own?

Can I sell my item to you?

Yes, We do buy well taken care off, smoke free items, partial or full estates. Sell To Us.

Do you accept thirty party seller or reseller?

Yes, We welcome everyone here, in fact we do have a subscription plan for sellers. Become a Seller.

What will happen to my item if not sold?

If items remain unsold after the consignment period, you have the option to take it back, renew consignment or donate.

Consignments
Do you take consignments?

Yes, We do take consignments, Please contact us if you have an item for consignment.

How do I Consign my item?

To start the consignment process, please contact us with your item details and we will be happy to assist you in evaluating your item and initiating the consignment agreement.

How much do you take in commission?

Our standard commission is 20% on sold item of under $1000, 15% for the sale volume of over $1000.

How long the item can be consign for?

The standard consignment period is 90 days with option to renew.

What item do you accept on consignment?

We do accept antiques, collectibles, vintage item, handmade products, sporting goods, musical instrument, electronics and tools.

Registration
Do I have to register to use the site?

No. You can browse and search item without registering. You should still register, to save time, as the site will remember various preferences for you. If you want to create listing or advertise an event, you will need to register. Registration is FREE.
